Property Management Names Jane Harris Director of New Business Relations
Memphis, Tenn. - Jane D. Harris of Memphis has been named director of new business relations for Crye-Leike Property Management in Memphis, Tenn., a division of Crye-Leike, Inc. which offers leasing and management services for commercial and residential properties in Shelby, Fayette and Tipton counties. In this newly established position, she will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies to broaden the customer base in the Greater Memphis area.
Harris, a licensed real estate broker in Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina, has 18 years of professional leasing and management experience, having leased and managed over 5.5 million square feet of office and retail space. She has five years' experience in the closing of commercial loans in the title insurance business.

Construction Begins on Storage and Distribution Center
Nashville, Tenn. - Construction has begun on an 18,340 square foot storage and distribution center for Crye-Leike, Realtors to provide centralized storage for maintaining its records, which are required by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission to be stored for a period of time, and for its signage.
The Nashville facility, owned by Harold E. Crye, chief executive officer of Crye-Leike, is located within an industrial park on Trousdale Drive, one block north of Grassmere Park Road. Crye's investment in land and improvements will exceed $1 million.
"Only 15 percent of the distribution center will be utilized by Crye-Leike, with the remaining 85 percent to be leased to third parties," notes Keith Rosenblum, president of Crye-Leike Commercial & Property Management in Brentwood. Zoned for combined use, the space will be divided to accommodate tenants as small as 1,400 square feet or up to 16,000 square feet.

Lebanon's Historic Woolen Mills Sold: Plans to Compliment Downtown's Charm
Brentwood, Tennessee - What started as a simple transaction for Crye-Leike Commercial & Property Management to assist an out-of-town home owner in leasing his Brentwood house has led to plans for the revitalization of Lebanon's oldest industrial landmark, Tennessee Woolen Mills.
The 90-year-old mill, owned by Pillowtex of Dallas, Texas, was sold to Michael Echevarria, a Brentwood businessman and labor consultant who helps keep companies union-free, on May 17, 2000 for $600,000. The Wilson County property, located at 218 North Maple Street, was valued at over $1 million. Echevarria plans to convert the mill's 200,000 square-feet of usable space into a unique shopping and entertainment complex, called The Mill at Lebanon, Tenn., that will house eclectic retail shops, restaurants and offices as well as community events for a wide range of interests and ages.
